We had a nice run of outdoor concerts during the summer of 2018, starting with a May Day concert right in the middle of Shepley. It was a lovely afternoon with many children enjoying the maypole dancing and lots of stalls both outside and in the church. Cream teas were in the church hall – very welcome.
We went to Lotherton Hall in June, a lovely Edwardian estate near Leeds. Brodsworth Hall near Doncaster beckoned in August. We always love playing there in the most beautiful gardens. It is run by English Heritage and is well worth a visit at any time.
Dartmouth Park, near Morley and the Valley gardens in Pontefract were two other venues for outside concerts, both in sunny weather.
A very successful summer.
